Lonesome Soldier is an amazing movie based on the true American story of Jackson Harlow. It is an emotional storyline that brings the spotlight to PTSD and hopefully will help more people understand PTSD through Jackson's eyes. Brilliant actors and crew.

I was hit hard to the core with past emotions after watching this movie . I had exitied a mall and with not much success , trying to find the theatre and was surprisingly invited to a premiere showing by 2 random strangers that I had asked for directions to the theatre . I asked what the were watching and went as their guest. I was among the filming crew and actors and actresses of a movie I had yet to see or know anything about . The movie starts and it's about a young man starting his married life and trying to figure it out. He joins the military to have some stability for a new family and instead of being a part time national guardsmen, the mission in afghanistan is calling his name . After much fighting and having to do and witness horrible things in combat he eventually gets to go back home but soon finds it hard to function normally . A condition called PTSD strikes him and leads him to drugs and alcohol and eventually attempted suicide. The movie has some tragedy along the way it does end well with the hope with a family reuniting after forgiveness is brought on the scene . After the movie was over the actors in the movie were present and very polite and humble . I said Hin, good job to one of the main characters , Jackson and he asked me what I thought of the movie. I didn't see this coming but my emotions from a past experience of a bipolar disorder that almost took my life and would have devasted my family came back with the common word "mental illness" I got emotional and was struggling to talk and Alex(Jackson) touched my shoulder and prayed for

me After that I had to leave Jackson and and young lady as I couldn't get words out of my mouth anymore so I went up the escalator. I composed myself and realized that it's ok to not be ok all the time and to go back and face my emotions . I went back and we passed on the escalator . Alex told me to keep my head high. This movie showed me the importance of getting help before it's too late and I'm so glad that Indis have a wide to love me enough to help me when I didn't deserve it and was even scary to help me in a manic condition. It was a crazy but memorable night
